Congrats to Lin and the entire Lyle Gallery family on the opening of their new creative space located on 24 Rutgers Street. It was a real honor to connect and collaborate on such an important event. Lyle is located on the east tip of Chinatown right off the East Broadway’s F train stop. Only a few blocks from Little Canal which is one of my favorite coffee shops in the neighborhood.

On the opening day of Lyle Gallery on May 16th of 2024 the space was quickly filled with smiles, hugs, and flowers. Artists, friends, and family from New York City and all around the world showed up to express their gratitude and respect. The energy from the start was special and it lasted through out the entire day into the night. Shout out to all of the artists. The “Medal” artwork speaks for itself. You’re able to feel the dedication that was poured into each piece. Go see for yourself as the exhibition has been extended until June 22nd, 2024.

I had no expectations of the crowd but I was ready to put in my contribution. The way I envision my life as an artist and street photographer is to always be prepared. The more prepared we are in life the less we have to worry. The amount of time I’ve spent photographing on the streets of NYC and worldwide I’ve built my skills and confidence to use my camera in any moment.

The best of luck to Lyle Gallery and all the lovely people I’ve met that night, such a memorable time.
