Welcome to Brooklyn’s Chinatown in New York City. Most of us refer this neighborhood as “8th Ave”. Manhattan’s Chinatown eventually started to get overly crowded so Chinese people started to explore outside of the city. It’s only about 30-40 minutes from Canal or Grand Street. You can easily hop on one of the chinese dollar van (van jai) near Confucius Plaza or hop on the N train toward South Brooklyn, Coney Island. Even though other smaller Chinatown’s in Brooklyn started popping up over the years, locals still come to 8th ave to buy fresh groceries.
